These modules provide detailed sectional anatomy, pathophysiology relevant to the CTA exam and a standard post-processing protocol.  Each module works through 5 or more cast studies on the thin client.

  • Anatomy and Physiology I

    The interrelationship of structure and function of each body system will be presented in two semesters. The first semester will include basic chemistry, cell structure, cell physiology, metabolism, tissues, and integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems.

    Course Description:
    In this module, students learn basic sectional anatomy of the neck, specifically the vasculature.  Carotid artery disease and other pathologies related to the neck CTA exam are explained.  A post processing protocol is described.  Students complete five (5) case studies on the Visage Thin Client server.

    Course Description:
    This course reviews cardiac anatomy, coronary artery disease (CAD), the gated scan and how to post-process the coronary arteries for a physician's review. Five (5) case studies are reviewed and available for students to practice post-processing with the Visage Thin Client server.

    Course Description:
    This module reviews the arterial blood supply to the brain (COW) and the functional areas of the brain.  Pathophysiology includes stroke, perfusion CT imaging, aneurysm and arteriovenous malformations. Post-processing protocols for CTA and MRA studies are described. Students complete case studies using the Thin Client.

    This module reviews the abdominal aorta and the life-threathening abdominal aoric aneurysms (AAA).
